INTERMISSION

Yoh! This post might have something important later. Like rules on picking your nose. Remember it's only okay to pick your own nose, not your friend's noses.

187Literary UPICK || Prologue - Chapter 6 - Page 13 Empty ON THE ORIGINS OF THE GAME OF "MAFIA" Mon Feb 22, 2016 11:38 pm

ON THE ORIGINS OF THE GAME KNOWN AS "MAFIA"

Though in the current information age, "Mafia" refers to a party game played for the enjoyment of all participants1, either in person or on one of a number of venues on the InterNet2, the game is far more sinister in origin. Its existence as a party game is a recent invention, coming to pass in the year 1996, when Rupert T. Mafia adapted the harmless party game from an arcane interpersonal ritual used by the vile, inhuman creatures of the night known as werewolves3. New werewolves would be subjected to a series of social trials, and only by successfully posing as a longstanding member of the pack would be accepted into their ranks. For this reason, the game of "Mafia" is sometimes known as "Werewolves".

1With the notable exception of drandahl, who was barred from experiencing enjoyment as a part of the Warren-Davis Universal Integrity Protection act of 2013.

2Herein "InterNet" refers to an Interconnected Network of computers and, more recently, other devices, primarily accessed by connoiseurs of pornography and other people who lack meaningful companionship outside of their computer screens.

3Here "werewolf" refers specifically to the creature known by that name native to the United Kingdom, not to be confused with the North American creature of the same name, nor the French "Loup-Garou", often confused for the werewolf. For more information, consult "Lycanthropic Transformation Tables", p. 29.

This is true. However, I do experience a sense sibling to enjoyment... but I'm having trouble explaining in language...

...this I do know: Mafia will be carefully apprehended. The roster of Town will be meticulously maintained. This will mark a great moment in history, my companions. Let us make sure it's a reward for hard work and diligence.

Unrelated, this is how I'm picturing mafia right now:

I've checked and re-checked this thoroughly and I have yet to find fault in this statement.

believe in lucas? impossible

lucas is like

300g of confusion, sifted through a sieve
200g of slightly melted loud yelling
100g of cute
2 whole cinnamon rolls
1 packet of charts
1 packet of flailing
zest of one boyfriend
8 large misunderstandings
cinnamon

mix confusion, 1 packet of charts and a pinch of salt in a bowl. in another bowl, mix loud yelling with cute and a packet of flailing until fluffy; add 2 whole cinnamon rolls and mix thoroughly. add zest of one boyfriend. mix the loud yelling mixture into the confusion mixture, and knead until you have nice, firm dough. if the dough sticks to your fingers, add more confusion. place the dough in the refrigerator for an hour.
in the meantime wash, peel and grate the misunderstandings.
split the dough in half. roll out one half thinly and layer it on the bottom of a greased mold. spread the misunderstandings on top, and generously sprinkle them with a mixture of cinnamon and cute. form the rest of the dough into snake-like rolled strips and place them in a criss-cross pattern on top of the misunderstandings. bake for 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 175°C.

voila, and you have your very own lucas.
