[FEEDBACK NEEDED] What's the best way to notify you?

Hi guys, thanks for signing up! It really means a lot to have you all here.

One of the hardest things about getting a mafia forum up and running is making sure that people remember to actually check the games. Since each phase takes 24 hours and games can go on for weeks, it's easy to forget about them.

Instead of forcing you guys to keep checking in every so often, we, the mods, are thinking of bringing this information to you. We could maybe send out email alerts or create a tumblr/twitter feed that makes a post every time a game starts, or rollover occurs, or any other interesting events. Ideally, it'd be something that you already check every day, and we'd limit the number of notifications so as not to be annoying to you.

Would you want to be notified about games in this way? If so, what websites or messengers do you use every day?

Any other feedback is welcome, as well!

Best way to keep up with me is skype or a direct mention on twitter! i rarely check my email...

Alternately, a mention on tumblr. I spend more time on tumblr and skype than anything else. I'm usually on skype if i'm on my computer!

The only two things I check every day are email and Skype.

I'd actually be down to create an announcements-only Skype chat, but that only works if everyone is good about not spamming it.

If we do email alerts, the forum has an automatic system for that, but I don't know how many people actually check their email every day so I'm not sure if this is a good option or not.

I tend to check Tumblr several times a day plus twitter at least twice a day. And I also have Skype, so I'm good with the idea of making a skype chat for announcements for it, as long as spamming was kept to a minimum.

For me, the most immediate way to reach me is over Skype. I tend not to really check my emails for months on end, and I kinda struggle/dread keeping up with things on tumblr particularly for health and personal reasons, and I don't have twitter so...

I'm definitely up for an announcement skype chat or forum-tied chat and all, though!

I'm good with either email or Skype.

Email works best for me but tumblr and twitter are okay too!
