Twitch Plays Mafia

• There will be a preset list of actions to choose from (stun, protect, etc. etc.)
  
• Anyone can pick any action and send in a PM with that action and the target.
  
• Each player can only send in one night action per night.
  
• In true TPP fashion, only one action of each type will go through. The one that goes through will be randomly selected (so if a person sends in a protect on person A, a person sends in a stun on person B, and a person sends in a stun on person C, A will be protected and it will be a randomized stun between B and C)
  
• The night kill is an independent action and will always successfully go through.

Twitch Plays Pokemon was a "social experiment" in which this dude in Australia set up a stream of Pokemon Red on twitch.tv and had the viewers play the game by entering commands into the chatbox. 100,000 people trying to enter commands with a few seconds of delay means that our brave protagonist spent a lot of time falling off cliffs and accidentally releasing Pokemon. Red's nonsensical motions led to an explosion of fan art, and its own religion. After over 16 straight days of glorious chaos, Twitch successfully beat the first game.

This game draws inspiration from the mechanics of Twitch Plays Pokemon.

There are two game modes: ANARCHY (Night Phase) and DEMOCRACY (Day Phase).

The game ends when the DOME SUPPORTERS (mafia) are entirely eliminated, or when the DOME SUPPORTERS outnumber the HELIX FOLLOWERS (town).

AVAILABLE ACTIONS

The actions that can performed during ANARCHY mode are:

• PROTECT - Protects the target from kills, but not stuns.
  
• STUN - Prevent a player from acting. More on this in a bit.
  
• BUS - Target two players and have them swap placse so that any actions originally targeted at Player A will now hit Player B instead, and vice versa.

SENDING IN ACTIONS

Every player, regardless of affiliation, sends in an action during ANARCHY mode. Players should select a single action from the above list, as well as an appropriate target (or targets, in the case of a bus). For example:

Players may only send in one PM per night, and may not change an action once sent.

ACTION SELECTION

In true TPP fashion, only one stun, one protect, and one bus will go through.

The target that gets affected will be randomly selected from all the submissions for that type of action.

For example, with the PMs:

Protect A
Stun B
Stun C

The results will be:

Protect A
Randomize stun target between B and C

NIGHT KILL

As the DOME SUPPORTERS are shielded from the chaos of ANARCHY, the NIGHT KILL works as it does in a normal game.

The NIGHT KILL counts as an individual action and can be stunned. However, unlike other actions, the NIGHT KILL target and sender can be changed at any time.

DOME SUPPORTERS can still send in submissions for the other actions, independently of the NIGHT KILL.

NO VOTE CHANGES

As in the stream, once you hit submit, there's no taking it back.

START9

You may not vote no vote or no lynch, but you may vote start9.

If over 50% of players vote for start9, the phase will end with nobody lynched. If under 50% of players vote for start9, even if start9 wins plurality, the player with the highest amount of votes on them will be lynched.
